Mobiles worth Rs 50 lakh stolen from Rudrapur | Dehradun News

RUDRAPUR: In a burglary, which is being referred to as the biggest in the recent history of the US Nagar district headquarters, miscreants burgled mobile phones worth over Rs 50 lakh from a mobile showroom in the city on intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday. The theft came to light when showroom employees arrived at the shop around 9.30 am and found that the shutters were damaged. Barinderjit Singh, district SSP, has constituted several police teams to crack the case. Keshav Dhingra, owner of the mobile shop which is situated at Agrasen Chowk in Civil Lines, said, “There were almost 700 mobile phones in the shop. The CCTV footage shows that there were more than six persons. They entered the shop and conducted the burglary in half an hour.”
