Vadodara: Vadodara city president of Republic Party of India (A) Rajesh Goyal’s estranged wife Sapna Rajesh Goyal sought help from city police to serve a Mumbai court summons to the politician.
Sapna and Rajesh separated and the court matter is regarding non-payment of maintenance to Sapna and their son.
Sapna reached the office of city police commissioner with the copy of summons and was directed to the office of prevention of crime branch (PCB).
“As per the case details told to us, there is recovery of maintenance to the tune of Rs 6.4 lakh for which a court in Mumbai had summoned the man.
The woman sought police help to serve the summons and so we called Goyal and handed over the summons to him,” said in-charge inspector R C Kanamiya of PCB.
